|    Re: Lucy Lawless, Girl Pirate?!    |

I had long assumed that Lucille Ryan had adopted the name 'Lucy Lawless' based       upon Pierre Burton's books. She is of the right age to have read Pierre       Burton's books in her youth. Likewise the name fit perfectly the kind of       persona Lucille was trying        to portray.                      Piere Burton's book 'The Secret World of OG' was published in 1961 (Lucille       Ryan was born in 1968). In the book, Penny who idolizes 'Lucy Lawless', is the       middle child of 5 children; Lucile is the 5th child of 7 children - it seemed       like a character        Lucile may have identified with at that young age.              It is only recently reading Wikipedia that I found out that the name 'Lawless'       was taken from Lucile's first husband in 1988 when they were married.              So the coincidence of the name is quite spectacular as far as I am concerned.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
