   You probably know this, but new fans may not:  During Season 5 Rob Tapert   
   (and I think largely R J Stewart) "left" Xena to try to start a new   
   syndicated hour-block with "Cleopatra 2525" and "Jack Of All Trades".   
   To cover the abscence, Tapert brought in the "Hercules" show runners to   
   "run" Xena as well.  The trouble is that by season 4, "Xena" had long ago   
   stopped being a "Hercules" clone, but the show runners didn't seem to   
   realize   
   it.   
      
   Luckily for us, if not the stars of those shows, the new shows flopped   
   and Tapert and Stewart were back at Xena for Season 6.

               I had completely forgotten about those two shows,  I don't think   
   I watched more than one of two episodes of either one. And apparently no one
