Well, I suppose it was U.S. English!!              When I re-watch the series from the beginning it will in fact be the       first time I watch it in the original English. During the original run       I was living in Italy, where everything on television is dubbed -- in       fact very badly.              Now I can certainly follow the series in English. If my memory were       fresh I would appreciate the difference in characterisation, and maybe       be even disturbed by that at the beginning. I find that in Italian male       voice actor in particular always make an effort to sound virile and       dramatic, even where the original is different. The Italian voice for       Hugh Laurie in House is a striking example.              --       Beard              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
