'Teso dos Bichos' was safe-ish? Fucking around with an ancient evil
jaguar-shaman spirit that's so determined to kill people that when it
couldn't find a jaguar, it took over the Killer Kitties? I think not.
Especially with Gillian being allergic and all -- what if Scully was, too?
And 'Jose Chung'. There are several words one could choose for that case,
but 'mundane' is not among them.
