: After all this time, still an incredibly disturbing episode. (Note:
: decided to go with airdate rather than production number.) The whole
: teaser sequence was horrific - but composed beautifully and looked
: amazing - really set the mood...

: Good stuff: The whole antenna dance had me giggling. Fancy tv stars
   : wallowing around in a pig sty...heeheehee!

: Good bad stuff: omg, they put the baby in the lunch fridge - ew! The
: guy with the teeth chews for Ma Peacock - ew! Randomly hearing the
: song 'Wonderful Wonderful' does *not* evoke happy thoughts.

: The uberScully conversation just really seemed forced and awkward.
: Much prefer the deleted scene in the bathroom....

: The Peacocks were pretty smart for having 'regressed to an almost
: prehistoric state' - managed to build some pretty spiffy booby traps.

: Read an incredibly disturbing post-ep fic for this and it's stuck with
: me all these years. Scully ended up replacing the mother and breeds a
: whole new generation of Peacocks - after eating Mulder's remains.

: And last but not least, yay - an X tie sighting!

My least favorite episode, not only of X-Files, but of television in
general. It was just so hard to believe that a creative team that had
given us so many classics, also gave us this garbage. It's not the
disturbing topic--X-Files has given us many a great episode about
disturbing topics--it's more that they didn't even try to do anything good
in this one. It's the only episode I no longer watch, it's just
   repulsive.
