Weasels hump on their hind legs against bulkheads?

The Black Oil and the colonist aliens are the same thing. The Oil, or Virus,
is sort of their 'essence' or life force. It can live inside of a regular
alien body, or it can come out and ooze around on its own. I don't think
this was explained before 'Patient X', but it would be clarified later on,
especially in FTF, 'The Beginning', and 'Two Fathers'/'One Son'.

The Bounty Hunter, I believe, also works for the colonists. Or at least,
started out working for them -- sometimes it seems like he reports directly
to CSM. Of course, being a bounty hunter, I'm sure he'd work for anyone who
could pay him. (Which brings up an interesting question: What kind of
payment does he get? I doubt that Zeta Reticuli, or whatever, recognises the
US dollar as legal tender.) And I think there's only supposed to be one of
him, but you never know. It's not explicitly stated in any episode I can
remember. Hell, it could be like with Weyoun on DS9, where every time he
dies they just clone a new one. The fact that one of the rebel aliens also
looked suspiciously like Brian Thompson suggests any number of
possibilities, none of which is particularly likely to ever be confirmed or
   denied.

So, really, I guess, there are three important alien groups: the Colonists,
the Rebels, and the Bounty Hunter(s).

But it was *March* 1998 when the episode aired. If the big day doesn't
happen until December 2012, that would be 14 years and 9 months. They
   probably just rounded up.

Actually, judging from the time stamps on various other episodes, there's a
good chance that it's supposed to have 'really' happened a few days to weeks
or maybe even months before the air date. That would make it even closer to
   15 years.
