   I thought it was great. A direct reference in dialogue would have been   
   heavy-handed and annoying. But just a momentary visual and musical wink was   
   much more effective and subversive. After all, what is Bush if not the   
   ultimate X-File? Science as yet has no explanation as to how a man could   
   even physically manage to be so incredibly complete a moron, let alone how   
   he managed to become elected to any office with more authority and   
   responsibility than the guy who picks up and disposes of roadkill carcasses.   
      
   (BTW, since Eugene Victor Tooms used to do that job, this post is also 100%
