   I disagree. I think it was *Scully* who was actually made into a caricature.   
   Mulder seemed to me like his old self again -- like he said, 'I don't think   
   I'm the one who's changed.' But Scully was all running around in total   
   denial of everything. She was actually teetering on the edge of being a   
   flat-out *bitch*. I don't think they did right by her character. Mulder got   
   to keep his integrity and dignity, but Scully turned into a stubborn, whiny   
   mommy who wanted to have a family living in a nice suburban home with a   
   picket fence.   
      
   Of course, this is totally in keeping with what happened to Scully's   
   character toward the end of the series. This is what you fucking shippers   
   did to one of the greatest, strongest female role models in the history of   
   television. You got what you wanted: she hooked up with Mulder, and had   
   kids. And in the process her entire character was essentially destroyed. I   
   hope you guys are fucking happy.
