   Well.... I don't think Whedon had time to explain all that( or cared to )   
   but my impression was one sun and many planet with moons. Many of the   
   places they went were terraformed moons and the like. Lot   
   s o' terraforming . But that all seemed rather unimportant because the   
   stories and the characters were so amazing. I am always willing to suspend   
   disbelief for cool stories and characters... I never would have shown up   
   on this NG if that hadn't been true. I also believe that it is possible   
   for a police call box to be bigger on the inside than on the the outside .
