   Near my house, there is a small residential development that I pass every   
   time I go to or from the store. At the entrance, they have a little covered   
   structure with benches, for children to sit and wait for the school bus.   
   Someone must have been bored, because zie'd written in marker on the wall a   
   list of 'Lost Dogs'. It was apparently a top-ten list of every well-known   
   dog they could think of -- like Scooby and Scrappy Doo, Lassie, Old Yeller,   
   the Taco Bell chihuahua, Brian (from 'Family Guy'), Pluto, and so forth.   
      
   Now, what would possess someone to do this is rather beyond me. But the   
   reason I'm telling you this is that the other night, I took a marker of my   
   own out there and added the following:
