XPost: alt.alien.research, alt.alien.visitors, alt.paranet.ufo       From: remove_ajwerner@optusnet.com.au              Question:       If there really are extraterrestrials then why don't they come down and say       hello?       Answer:       This is a popular and naive question asked by those who don't know much       about this subject. The ETs have a non interference policy and therefore       they only contact certain humans under certain conditions. Our society must       be allowed to develop more or less naturally.              Question:       If our governments know about ETs and have back engineered technology then       why don't they share it with us?       Answer:       Because governments have military interests and sharing the tech and       knowledge of off-worlders would destroy their advantage on the military       arena. And then they would also have to make uncomfortable admissions of       using our tax funds inappropriately for black projects instead of helping       the community. So they keep it all extremely secret and continue to play       dumb regarding the ET presence.              Question:       If the ETs are so sophisticated then why don't they just fix all our       problems?       Answer:       They have actually cleaned up *some* of our pollution and stopped some       nuclear incidents from happening, but if they did everything for us then we       would never learn on our own and would never take responsibility for       ourselves and our planet.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
