From: WF11@webtv.net              An RSR Generator can be thought of as creating an 'implicit solid'       between two constituent parts separated by empty space.                     Once in effect, these constituent parts behave as if they are directly       and physically linked, and are completely inseparable, by pulling or       pushing them in opposite directions.                     Only when the generated effect is deactivated will they once again       behave as separate objects.                     Visualize cutting a broomstick into two pieces, and two one foot       sections. Each section is its own object. Under the effect of RSR,       however, the segments behave as if they were a three foot rod consisting       of both foot long segments, separated by a foot of empty space.                     While the two rod segments would appear to be separate, to the point an       observer would be able to pass his hand thru the space that separates       them, they would be unable to move one of the rods without the other       behaving as it were directly attached.                     Component mode RSR seems to be commonly used by the crafts design.       Rather than attaching a crafts (Universal Flying Object) components by       way of rivets, adhesives or welding, or the like, they are held in       place, quite precisely by anti-gravitational means.                     Once RSR is in component mode effect, the details of which components       are affected, and how, seems to be provided by the components       themselves.                     RSR in multi mode combines the functionality of the field and component       modes producing specific anti-gravity effects on individual components,       while generating any number of anti-gravity control fields.                     It is believed Multi mode was used most commonly for managing the       anti-gravitational needs of the of the entire craft.                     Perfect regidity violates special relativity since nothing can be       perfectly rigid, and at relativistic speeds lose a dimension in the       direction of travel. However it is assumed that below this speed an       object can have the quality of regidity.                     Visualization of FTL is easy, as will be shown in this analogy; Light       takes 8 minutes to go 93,000,000 million miles to the sun.                     Suppose you had a perfectly rigid tube 1 light year long, of say       compressed ether, or Hydrogen Metal.       Attached too the center of one end is a powerful laser . At the moment       the laser is turned on, the tube is rotated 360° in 8 minutes.                     The opposite end of the tube would have rotated 1 revolution in 8       minutes, being perfectly rigid, or 1 lghtyear of rotation.       The laser would have just traveled 93,000,000 miles, in the 8 minutes,       thru the center of the tube.                     This concept can be scaled down and it will be found, rotation is always       faster than velocity, and will equal the velocity of light, if just       93,000,000 million miles long, or distance light takes to reach the       earth, from the sun, about 8 minutes, as an example.                     ßƒ--¹¹              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
