   I received some feedback from someone reading these things via   
   the "Narkive" maintained someplace.   
      
   I asked at some point whether the Saturn close approach in 2002 (+1 a couple   
   of years) had been associated with an up tick in cattle mutiplations.   
   And it seems there was some kind of peak roughly in the mid 2000s.   
      
   They maintain a list of newspaper articles of cattle mutilations going   
   back to the 1960s and the count of articles by year looks like:

   So it still seems to be a "live option" that the proximity of Saturn is   
   related to the phenomenon, at least as far as US reports go.   
      
   But this now leads onto another interesting point the poster made.   
   What could the alleged "huge quantities of blood" be used for by anyone?   
   The suggestion they had was experimenting on blood supply that   
   is closely related to human blood.   
      
   Why is that important?   
      
   In ~2002 -- a close approach of Saturn similar to the prev one in ~1973 --   
   there was an outbreak of a mysteriou disease in humans. SARS v1.   
   It was a problem for a while and killed people in some countries.   
   But suddenly in ~2004 is disappeared and no-one knows why.   
      
   Unfortunately you can ask the AI's what explains the 1970s,   
   the SARS1 outbreak, and the current SARS v2 outbreak and they again say   
   "something to do with Saturn" is the best explanation.
