   It's week one zillion of Melbourne lockdown Number 6.   
      
   Maybe it's just me. To judge from the TV news that seems to show nothing   
   happening, maybe it is. Or maybe Australia is not part of the pretend   
   UFO openness that has hit some other countries.   
      
   Last night was another weird one for sh*t in the sky. But I'm glad   
   I'm starting to finally see stuff that other people have reported.   
   That biz a while back with that copper-colored figure-8 shaped think   
   cruising across the sky seems to be unique AFAIK.   
      
   But last night was at least BUA as far as lights in the sky goes.   
      
   As usual on a nice night I was out in the patio with a coffee watching   
   the sky. Jupiter was up in the east, just over the top of some giant trees   
   on the other side of the road on one side of the property.   
   No moon, no visible clouds.   
      
   At one point there was a bright wide white meteor trail off to the east over   
   the big trees.  Unusually, it went up. Only lasted a fraction of a second.   
   Maybe a couple thumb-widths long.   
   But like a couple other times lately I hung around suspecting something   
   was about to start happening.   
      
   Maybe 30 mins went by.   
      
   I was looking around, nothing apparently happening, when I saw what looked   
   like a bright red pinpoint flash out the corner of my left eye.   
   My eyes are not the best -- some people tell me I have only 10% vision left --   
   but I looked back at the area I thought I'd seen the light. Nothing for a   
   minute.   
      
   Then another flash. A little while and another flash. This repeated for   
   1-2 mins. Just random pinpoints of light in different locations scattered   
   over a region of the NE sky about 45 deg above the horiz with an area   
   about the size of my hand at arms length.   
      
   There were maybe a dozen flashes in all. Irregular. None of them seemed to   
   be from moving objects. Not sure if any flashes came from the same place   
   as prev flashes. My impression was it was all pretty random.   
   Some flashes were blue with a slight halo. Some where white. At least   
   the one (and maybe another couple) were red or orange. There were some   
   bright ones and a lot of fairly dim ones. All very very brief. Just a   
   pinprick for a few milliseconds.   
      
   After the 2 mins or so I waited a min or 2 and there were no more.   
      
   I went inside. Watched some old TV shows.   
      
   I heard the police chopper (I presume) cruising around the neighbourhood.   
   They have been looking for curfew violators lately. I went out on the front   
   porch (different street frontage) and sat down to see what was going on.   
      
   I was looking south where Melbourne lights up the sky about 60 km away   
   and blow me down there was a pinpoint flash in the sky over Melbourne.   
   A few sec later another pinpoint flash a short distance away.   
   Over the space of a min there were maybe 4-5-6 such flashes. All of them   
   seemed white. To confuse the issue there also seemed to be a chopper flying   
   over the city. I could see a blinking yellow/white light coming from something   
   that was flying slowly left to right on the horizon and visible at some   
   level the whole time.   
      
   And then the police chopper could be see headed south with its red/green   
   and flashing yellow light. About this time the flashes stopped and   
   all that could be seen was the police chopper and that other white flashing   
   light I assume was another chopper.   
      
   Waited for a while. Nothing further changed.   
      
   As it turns out this is NOTHING compared to other things that have been   
   going on in the local skies.   
      
   But it may indicate "the authorities" are chasing something around the skies   
   and preventing news of it getting to the media. It seems Aus has a pretty   
   tight clamp-down on news of UFO sightings even tho some of them have   
   made it to TV and radio in the past. Pretty sure none of the stuff last   
   night has been reported or explained anywhere that I can see.
