|    blond humanoid sightings    |

I just ran a problem I saw on LUFOS through the software I'm tinkering up       to do "mechanical science".              The data comes from the Rosales 70-77 "humanoid sightings" dataset       with the entires mentioning "blond" extracted.              Basically we are trying to solve this problem using statistical methods:       You are sitting next to an airport with planes landing day and night.       You also have the weather data for every place on earth for the past       10 years.       Can you figure out what proportion of planes you're seeing       come from each continent?              In this case we have those humanoid sightings and satellite databases       for the earth pretty exactly over the past 100y. Some of the recent       data involves some exotic things like gravity fields or infra-red imagery.              It may be possible to find the source of some of these mystery objects       if they are operated by people that maybe never heard of "big data"       until recently. They may have been trying to remain hidden but maybe       didnt guard their steps well enough to avoid creating winkles in       the Earth's gravity field that can now be detected from orbit.              Of course given we might supect some of our friends are not some offshoot       of human civilization then they may be harder to spot. If they are       long-time space faring then they have probably seen all the tricks       hoomins can dream up in the next few centuries so they could remain       as good as invisible.              But the blond humanoids seem to have come and gone through the 70s       (the only dataset I've tried) that ties them to West Greenland       and Siberia, plus a couple of other spots.               |
