|    fun and games in the skies over semi-rur    |

Apropos of prev post. I was out in one of the yards early evening       with my usual coffee. I won't say I was sitting in my old armchair       expecting to see something. But strange things happen almost every day       around here...              Just after sundown as the sky starts to darken and -- these days --       the clouds start to scoot in from all points of the compass,       I noticed some kind of activity. It was a light aircraft with a strange       array of flashing lights hauling ass and going S to N almost over the       top of the property.              I'm not sure but I think "someone" is using the in-plain-sight defence,       These 2-engine aircraft seem to be running some kind of interference       with Our Friends From Frolix 8 without trying to attract too much attention       to what's going on. They mostly travel fairly low and make one hell of       a racket passing over several times a night usually.              One I noticed a couple days back seemed to have a big light cluster on       each wing-tip and as it disappeared into the distance I could see the       lights were flashing alternately several times a second in some kind       of complex pattern. OK. I'm too lazy to google up what they might be up to.              But only seconds after the flashy aircraft went over today I saw       several much more interesting events.              Lemme know if you've seen this before. It happens "all the time" here.              A Sirius-bright yellow light suddenly appeared in the middle of the sky,       almost overhead. It was initially stationary but then moveed off slowly.       After a few seconds it faded out.              Less than a minute later another one repeated the pattern, moving off in       a different direction.              Then a third that managed to move from NE to nearly overhead (i.e.       counter to satellite movement that is supposedly always west-to-east)       before it faded.              Whatever they were I give these things a bit of a wave because       I'm a friendly kinda guy if you're no some kind of yokel getting your       dog to dump on my front grass. Another sip or 2 on the coffee.              Around this time a "heavy" flashy aircraft -- a jet this time --       came over in the same path more or less as the previous 2-prop.       It passed very very very close to where the last light had started from.       You know how it is when someone acts so so nonchalant not trying to       attract attention that all heads within 100m snap around a look at them.       THAT nonchalant.              There might have been yet another in the fleet of noisy flashing aircrafy       buzzing around a few mins later. But I didnt see it. My vision is a bit       iffy these days. The cute thing about my retarded retinas is stars and       planets or even flashy aircraft appear as points of light connected by       a sparkling web of lines that seem to intersect at the points.       While it's not any good at seeing the edge of a train door as I try to       get on it, the sparly lines actually enhanded my ability to see dim lights       in the sky because they "point" to it from all directions. Neat, huh?              But no more "swamp gas" or "military flares" seemed to be appearing.       The clouds were getting too thick to see any gaps between. So it was time to       finish the coffee and go back inside...              --       "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood.       Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less."       - Marie Curie              UFOs are part of universe that needs to be explored       Statesville Record & Landmark, 26 Jun 2022 12:0Z       According to recent media, our National Aeronautics and Space Administration       is going to undertake a study of Unidentified ...              Researchers Were Stunned by What They Recently Found Deep Under Antarctica       The Debrief, 22 Jun 2022       Researchers in Antarctica were shocked to find a thriving community of       crab-like creatures living under the ice.              Could UAP Have Kinship to Our AI Systems?       The Debrief/Avi Loeb, 22 Jun 2022       If some UAPs represent extraterrestrial AI systems, perhaps their       appearance in recent govt data was triggered by us being on the       verge of developing sentient AI systems.              Why Is There a Decrease of Worldwide Oil-refining?       VOA Learning English, 25 Jun 2022              Canada agrees to share intelligence on UFOs with US `given shared priority       for nuclear safety'       The Independent, 24 Jun 2022 09:07Z       The CNSC is committed to raising the issue with its United States       counterpart and sharing any related information going ...              We've seen UFOs for 75 years - pilots have died chasing them, we are       powerless to stop them & need answers, says author       Irish Sun, 24 Jun 2022 12:06Z       ASKED to come up with examples of long-running modern-day phenomenon,       you might think of the Rolling Stones or Coronation ...              [Evvywun says I'm fat!]       Scientists Believe Jupiter Is Huge Because It Ate Other Planets       The Daily Wire, 23 Jun 2022 21:14Z              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
