From: skybuckflying@gmail.com              Wow your reaction was fast ! If you live near the east coast of the USA or       England you might even spot it, it's most likely coming your way, or maybe       it's going to Amsterdam/Schiphol, I don't know...              I did post a new/third thread in my own subthread with a picture/impression of       what I saw.              From my previous UFO experiences and critical thinking I have learned a lot       how to deal with UFOs.              Here is my plan what to do if you ever see a UFO:              1. Observe.       2. Stay calm.       3. Try and take a picture.       4. Write down the date and time after the sighting is over, or if it's taken       too long.       5. Write down the location where you were and in what direction you were       viewing/staring.       6. Make a drawing of what you saw in case you could not make a picture for       whatever reason.              By performing these simple steps it becomes much easier to late go back to       this event and the information about it and start investigating like,       especially with special software like Stellarium:              Was it the moon ? Was it a satellite ? Was it something else ? What do other       people make of it ?              Maybe with other tools one could even maybe try and figure out if it was a       certain plane/flight path or so...              And also cross-reference the date, time, location direction, sighting with       anybody else that might have seen it ! ;)              I know what I saw was not much... it was short, very short, but not too short,       plenty of seconds for my brain to get a really good read/vision on it...              I had plenty of time to open the balkony door, so I know 100% it was not a       reflection in the glass from some internal lights or anything.              I do wear glasses, but it's not a reflection in my glasses.              I could very distinctly see a strange beam of light which as far as I can       recall I have never seen before... or very maybe a faint relocation... maybe       once before... but did not register it in brain enough...              This time I was alarmed, because I rarely see anything strange anymore, I look       up regularly, I do see the occasional plane, and contrail and all of that       stuff...              And far away helichopters from Maastricht Airport, even sometimes planes taken       off from Maastricht airport.              This was something totally else... I was so weird... it started to alarm me       pretty quickly... at first I couldn't believe it and I was like... hmmm that       is probably a light corner of the moon, but then I started wondering... how       can this be ? There is        clouds everywhere... it was a very gray and clouded day, even discussed it       with my mother earlier that day.              This sighting alarmed me so much it made me quite the phone conversation with       my mother to grab my camera.... by the time I came back a few seconds later       the sighting was gone...              Quite an interesting sighting... a learning moment for me.              I know that in the direction/place I look, very frequently I see high flying       aircraft/planes... jetliners/cruisers cruising their way across the sky.              That is what I have a strong feeling this may have been a plane shining on a       cloud !              If true then that is kinda a funny sighting and could explain maybe other UFO       sightings of other people.              So it's usefull to make a little drawing. I wonder how long that light may       have been visible, I have no idea... I just walked in on it and busted it...              Anyway, one last thing to do is make a computer simulation some day to see how       far a jetplane can shine a light and if I could see it that far away ! ;)              Bye for now,        Skybuck.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
