then this could explain it's excelleration.

I'll post something on Oumuamua shortly.
I hadnt looked at it before. Since it was discovered only in 2017
and supposedly came from outside probably only a few years before that
it didnt seem strongly connected with UFOs that have been around
la least since the 1950s and we all suspect a lot log longer than
   that.

But SHOCK! It turns out the data shows there *is* a connection with UFO's we
see reported here on planet Dirt. While it doesn't seem they are the origin of
any UFO's there is some evidence that UFO's may have gone to visit it.
Anyway, I'll post that in a couple days.

As for light sails -- don't count them out. They are a step up from our
current chemical rockets because they dont need to carrry their own fuel or
   energy.

There are basically 4 kinds of Newtonian ("push against something") rockets
called EE, II, EI and IE. The 2 letters specify where the fuel comes from
(Internal, or External) and where the energy to accelerate it comes from.

The limitation of chemical rockets is both the fuel and heat needed to push it
out the back so the rocket goes forward both come from inside the ricket. This
limits how fast the rocket can go because ... eventually the gas tank runs dry
   and the ricket
   stops.

But if both things come from outside then it doesnt come to an end. The rocket
can accellerate for much longer -- maybe "forever".

So light sales keep working as long as there is light around. Even between the
stars there is *some* light. And small light sails can be boosted by banks of
mega lasers powered by solar energy e.g.

Some groups are trying to plan a "star shot" (involving Avi Loeb again :) that
propose to accelerate a very small probe -- just 1 g or so -- using a big
laser and get it up to 1% or 10% of the speed of light.

We have no way to do that with chemical rockets.

An even more interesting idea being carried out by another "fringe science"
group is about to test another EE rocket in space. This rocket tries again to
be EE -- it uses solar power and an "EM drive" to propel itself. They say the
   EM drive works and has
been verified by independent groups. There is maybe a question over this. But
   if they get it into
space and show that it works then it would be a big breakthrough. The math
involved in the EM drive proposes that very very tiny accelerations are more
efficient than big ones and can eventually get up to a good fraction of "c"
   with the least effort due
to a quantum effect. In a way their rocket supposedly can "quantum tunnel" to
   high speed travel.

Their theory also explains why stars in galaxies all seem to rotate around the
   centre at the same speed
instead of getting slower toward the edge like you might expect. Some
scientists propose this is caused by a hidden "dark matter". But the rocket
   people
propose it is a quantum effect that will not let acceleration be 0 no matter
   how little you push.
