   A new era on transparency in UFO info? Not really. The elastic bands   
   on the secret folders have apparently been tightened even more.   
      
   John Greenwald reports several requests for UFO info under FOI laws   
   have been blocked by the Pentagon entirely with them citing   
   an expection related to "ongoing law enforcement investigations".   
      
   The denial letters do not specify exactly how the exemption applies   
   in each case. But one broad option is -- UFO's themselves are now part of   
   some kind of "law enforcement operation". A narrow interpretation is   
   the leaks of UFO information over the past 1-2 years means all UFO info   
   held by the Pentagon is part of an investigation into who is doing the leaking.   
      
   Regardless, the new tactic seems to point to all UFO info whether secret   
   and/or related to national security concerns or not is likely now   
   to be withheld from FOI requests.   
   It's hard to believe an even more closely held secret than previously, when   
   serving military were asked to report UFO's but what that was was not clear    
   because   
   the shape and color of UFO's was a top military secret.  Until that   
   data was (partly) published in reports to public hearings earlier this year.
