   I suspect you're the kinda guy that has twiddled the voltage tables and run   
   the thing overclocked for the past 20y.   
   Which may well mean the cpu chip is blown.   
      
   OTOH if it's just the mobo then you can probably still pick up a 2nd hand one   
   on ebay for less than $50 and transfer the cpu and memory over and see if that   
   still boots.   
      
   I've done that a few times and at least salvaged a mail server or something   
   rather than spent 10x on another box+dice.
