   our sun is in a very sweet spot, not too close to the center   
   where life can be fried by other exploding stars and not too much   
   at the edge exposed to cosmic radiation.   
      
   similar to the goldilocks zone for planetary habitation, there's   
   likely one for the galaxy as well.
