   It's the same as with Fahrenheit, or any other system really, you get   
   used to the values if you have to use the system.   
      
      
   I can't handle Fahrenheit quickly myself yet, but I guess if I had grown   
   up or lived for long enough in a place where that was abundantly in use,   
   I'd have at least a notion of where the temps would be, if not muscle   
   memory for a quick conversion (which IIRC might not be hard, it's just   
   that I haven't memorized it).   
      
      
      
   (As far as you don't do stupid stuff like writing a TV police/crime show   
   episode where part of the plot is finding out which place *in the entire   
   world* had a given temperature - 50-something degrees, so in Fahrenheit   
   ranges - seen on a TV screen during a murder that ended up recorded on   
   video, without even once noticing that either it's a very specific   
   channel catering to expats of some countries or it would have to be   
   located in that very small set of countries... [1]   
      
   But that happened on the same show that gave us the "GUI Interface in
