   How much would be required to end with the term limit? Would it be   
   easier or more complicated than adopting the National Popular Vote   
   Interstate Compact?   
      
   (I guess, unless repelling an amendment is somehow quick in legislative   
   processes, that the Compact is simpler, given it'd only need to be   
   approved in a few more states. Problem is, of course, which way all the   
   involved players are leaning in the US bipolarized spectrum.)

   This is MAGA, they'll probably either force the GOP to do away with   
   primaries where possible (don't they control the RNC?), or they'll just   
   go ahead as independents anyway because "no way people wouldn't back   
   them". Given that most of the people in the current US administration   
   are probably "yes people", I think it's easier to land in a scenario   
   where they shoot their own feet (metaphorically, although given the kind   
   of silliness and stupidity they put out almost daily, I'd not rule out   
   the literal meaning either).
