XPost: memphis.general, alt.politics.democrats, talk.politics.guns       XPost: sac.politics       From: contact@tiffanyhenyard.com              MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police locate a man suspected of attempted murder after he       had to go to the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the foot.              Christopher Hawkins, 33, was charged with second-degree attempted murder,       employment of a firearm with intent to commit a felony and reckless       endangerment with a deadly weapon for an incident that took place earlier       this week.              On Thursday at 2:20 a.m., officers arrived in front of 2180 Hunter Avenue       where officers saw a victim lying on his left side in the roadway.              Officers spoke with a witness on the scene who told them that he was selling       drinks in front of his home on Hunter Street when he saw a man riding a bike       who goes by the name “Chris.” He told officers that another man who goes by       the name “Mingo” was with “Chris” traveling west on Hunter Avenue       towards       2180 Hunter Avenue.              The witness saw “Chris” jump off the bike and pull out a knife and an       unknown type of handgun. “Chris” allegedly fired six times and struck the       victim on the left side of his head.              According to the witness, “Chris” left the scene before officers arrived.       He       gave officers Chris’ address.              Officers later found “Chris” at his aunt’s house. She’d called 911       about her       nephew being shot in the right foot. “Chris” was taken to Methodist Central       in non-critical condition.              Officers ran the “Chris” alias through NCIC and were able to identify him       as       Christopher Hawkins.              Hawkins told officers that he was on Springdale and Eldridge when he heard       shots being fired. He said he saw the suspect run away with a man who went       by the name of “Mingo”.              Hawkins was arrested on July 12.              https://wreg.com/news/attempted-murder-suspect-found-after-getting-shot-in-       foot/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
