   KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City law enforcement made eight arrests this week   
   involving a theft ring in Kansas City.   
      
   According to a Facebook post from KCPD, detectives recovered 34 cars,   
   $10,000 worth of stolen medical equipment, 10 stolen BMX bikes, a golf cart,   
   ski equipment, and numerous stolen license plates linked to several stolen   
   cars.   
      
   KCPD did not release the identities of the people arrested or any details on   
   the items found. They also did not say the location of where the items were   
   recovered.   
      
   KCPD Property Crimes detectives worked with the City of Kansas City along   
   with the Missouri Highway Patrol on a month-long investigation into the   
   local theft ring.

   “You’re not allowed to be here, and we showed that you can’t just take   
   over   
   someone’s property and bring stolen stuff there” Det. William Richter with   
   KCPD said.   
      
   The criminals managed to take over someone else’s land over the course of   
   more than a year.   
      
   “It was a pretty big operation for us in property crimes,” he said.   
      
   8 people were arrested, many of which had outstanding warrants to begin   
   with. The ones that didn’t have warrants were charged with trespassing while   
   detectives put together a case for the prosecutor’s office.   
      
   “If they hit a neighborhood and say well I’m not coming back here but if   
   they hit a neighborhood and they have a good score that day – or that night   
   of course they are going to keep coming back,” Richter said.
