   FOX 2 - A Melvindale police officer was fatally shot Sunday in the area of   
   Oakwood and Dix.   
      
   The circumstances have not been released yet and the search for the suspect   
   or suspects is underway. Sources tell FOX 2 that the officer died from the   
   shooting.   
      
   Assisting the investigation is Dearborn, Lincoln Park, Southgate and   
   Michigan State Police.   
      
   The shooting was first called in just before noon.
