XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, memphis.general, talk.politics.guns       XPost: sac.politics       From: he-failed-to-repatriate-niggers@reparations.org              MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting       death of a 16-year-old boy in 2020.              On July 31, 2020, Travis Rogers fatally shot 16-year-old Jamarion Williams       at a Marathon gas station on Thomas Street.              The District Attorney’s Office said in a press release on Thursday the state       presented “strong evidence” during a four-day trial, which included       testimony from Rogers’ mother. They say she reluctantly identified her son       in a surveillance video.              The evidence showed that Rogers, who was 18 at the time of the shooting,       fired several shots at Williams while he was sitting in a car at the gas       station. He was pronounced dead on the scene.              During the trial, it was determined that before the shooting, Rogers and       Williams were involved in an argument.              The District Attorney’s Office says that within a week after the shooting,       police received a tip linking Rogers to the argument and identifying him as       the shooter.              In less than an hour, the jury found Williams guilty of the crime. His       sentencing has not yet been scheduled.              https://wreg.com/news/local/man-convicted-in-murder-of-frayser-teen-in-2020/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
