XPost: talk.politics.guns, alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, sac.politics       XPost: seattle.politics       From: democrats@caused.it              REDMOND, Wash. — Police are searching for about eight suspects who allegedly       crashed a car through a Redmond pot shop's front door before stealing items       from inside Thursday.              The incident occurred around 4 a.m. at Hashtag Cannabis, located at7829 Leary       Way NE, according to Redmond police. Witnesses said they saw four vehicles       circling the block before one crashed through the entrance.              "Approximately eight subjects wearing hoodies and masks entered the business       and took an undetermined amount of product," police said. "They fled the scene       in other vehicles and were not located."              This is the fourth time in 12 months that Hashtag Cannabis has been targeted.       Christine Bryant Darling, the marketing director, told KOMO News they're fed       up with this happening over and over again.              “It’s a very significant loss for us both in damage to our storefront,       damage to our lobby, and the loss of product as well," said Darling.              Darling said they have been pleading for the city of Redmond to help them come       up with a solution after they’ve been repeatedly targeted. Darling and the       owner of the business have asked to install bollards, but instead, the city       opted to put in        planters in front of the building surveillance video shows when the thieves       easily moved them out of the way.              “I hoped that they would work, that they would be enough of a deterrent to       criminals looking at our business and casing the location for a possible entry       they could gain they were not enough this solution is not working. We need a       new solution," said        Darling.              Darling said the answer they keep getting from the city to install bollards is       ‘no,’ we went to city officials who said there are multiple reasons why       they're not allowed.              “Currently, there are no codes that allow the city of Redmond to install       bollards on public sidewalks because the sidewalks need to be ADA accessible,"       said Derek Wing, communications manager for the city of Redmond.              City officials said another reason is that the location of the shop has power,       utility, and fiber lines running underneath the sidewalk, which the city said       the installation could disrupt power to other businesses.              A solution that the city recommended was for the owners to lock up their       products after hours when they’re not open, but Darling said it's not       feasible.              “The operational cost of removing all of our inventory from the floor, all       of it from our displays it’s just too significant," she added.              While Darling said she understands certain restrictions for putting up       bollards, but said they would be willing to pay for any physical barrier that       would put an end to these break-ins. She said they are still in talks with the       city to come up with a        solution.              Officers found a stolen vehicle lodged "into the front of the severely damaged       building," which was empty at the time, police said. No injuries were       reported, police added.              Police ask anyone with information to call them at425-556-2500.              Police said suspect photos will be released as soon as they become available.              Stop fucking around, set a trap and shoot the ghetto trash.              https://komonews.com/news/local/redmond-pot-shop-crash-and-grab-       tolen-car-vehicle-hashtag-cannabis-marijuana-dispensary-weed-sto       e-burglary-steal-products-eight-suspects-masks-leary-way-washing       on-king-county-crime-entrance              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
