   Updated Aug. 25, 2024, at 11:15 a.m.: Medford Police responded to a break-in   
   on Berrydale Avenue. They received a second call minutes later saying gunshots   
   were fired.   
      
   When officers arrived, they found one man dead from gunshot wounds.   
   Investigators believe the dead man was trying to break into an apartment with   
   a knife and one resident shot him in self defense.   
      
   Medford Police said this investigation is ongoing and more information will be   
   released when it's available. NewsWatch 12 will keep you updated when new   
   information comes out.
