   St. Paul police say a man has died after being shot on the city’s north side   
   on Thursday.   
      
   Officers from St. Paul were called to the 800 block of Simcoe Street around   
   2:30 a.m. on a report of a person shot.   
      
   An initial investigation showed a man was in a vehicle that had crashed into a   
   yard after suffering life-threatening gunshot injuries to the neck and head.   
   He was then taken to Regions Hospital, where he was in “very critical   
   condition”   
      
   However, the department says it was notified of the man’s death on Thursday   
   afternoon. His name and age are expected to be released by the Medical   
   Examiner’s Office.   
      
   His death marks the tenth homicide in the city so far this year.   
      
   No word at this time what led up to the shooting, or who is responsible.   
      
   An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call
