XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, mn.politics, misc.transport.rail.americas       XPost: talk.politics.guns, sac.politics       From: thank.a.democrat@minnesota.guv              How about mandatory death penalty for repeat offenders?              ST PAUL, Minn. — Three men are now charged with second-degree murder in       connection with a fatal shooting at a light rail station in St. Paul last       month.              Metro Transit Police said Lamar Kastedell Thomas, 18, Markel Alauntae       Jennings, 18, and Markus Antwon Jenning, 22, are each charged with       second-degree murder in the May 17 shooting death of 23-year-old Kevon Ishmel       Ewing.              According to a criminal complaint, witnesses said there was a conflict between       opposing gang members on a METRO Green Line train. The complaint says the       three men each shot Ewing as he left the train at the Dale Street Station. The       three men fled, and        Ewing's body was found on the platform.              Police said surveillance video from a light rail car led investigators to       identify and arrest the suspects.              "I want to commend the work of the MTPD Investigations Unit who were dedicated       to ensuring justice for Mr. Ewing’s family and loved ones," Metro Transit       Police Chief Ernest Morales III said in a statement. "I’ve said it       repeatedly and will keep        repeating It – crime, especially senseless acts of violence, will not be       tolerated anywhere on our transit system or in our community."              “Everyone should be safe on our public transit systems and in our       community," said Ramsey County Attorney John Choi in a statement. "We stand       united with law enforcement and with our community in doing everything we can       to prevent and respond to gun        violence."              https://www.kare11.com/article/news/crime/3-charged-with-murder-       hooting-light-rail-station/89-9f850849-7e48-4628-abd8-b7e35fa3a474              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
