XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, mn.politics, talk.politics.guns       XPost: sac.politics, alt.politics.democrats       From: democrats@are.stupid              Police are investigating after a shooting in Minneapolis’ Phillips       neighborhood left one man dead early Sunday.              Minneapolis Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting       near Lake Street and 13th Avenue South just after 3 a.m.              At the scene, officers found a man suffering from a life-threatening-gunshot       wound. Additional officers then were called to the area to help with an       "uncooperative and hostile crowd," according to MPD.              Paramedics and fire crews were eventually able to access the scene, but the       man was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.              According to a preliminary investigation from MPD, a group had gathered in the       area before shots were fired.              No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.              It was one of two fatal shootings reported on Lake Street over Labor Day       weekend, with one person killed and two injured in a shooting at Lake and Park       Avenue on Friday night.              Homicides are slightly up in Minneapolis so far in 2024, with 44 compared to       42 by the same date last year. It remains lower than the three-year average of       56, however.              Note: The details provided in this story are based on law enforcement’s       latest version of events, and may be subject to change.              https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-news/shooting-in-minneapoli       -phillips-neighborhood-leaves-one-dead              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
