   A man working as a tutor and mentor at a St. Cloud school has been charged   
   with raping a 14-year-old student in a locked classroom.   
      
   Leroy Moore, 19, of St. Cloud, has been charged with two counts of 1st-degree   
   criminal sexual conduct as a person of authority, following a report of an   
   "inappropriate relationship" made to police on March 19.   
      
   That report was made by a school resource officer at North Junior High School   
   in St. Cloud, where Moore had been working since February as a tutor/mentor   
   with Dreamline, a mentorship organization that had been contracted by the   
   school district.   
      
   The alleged victim is a 14-year-old girl who was being mentored by Moore, who   
   in an initial interview at a Child Advocacy Center said that their first   
   encounter happened in the hallway at school prior to spring break, when Moore   
   kissed her.   
      
   On another occasion, he brought her into the Dreamline classroom with the door   
   shut, grabbed her waist and tried to kiss her.   
      
   But the full extent of their alleged relationship was revealed when Moore was   
   interviewed by police, and admitted having inappropriate contact with one of   
   his students.   
      
   He confirmed the kiss in February and then said he started taking her out of   
   her classes.   
      
   On March 1, he said he took the girl into Dreamline classroom, locked the door   
   and had "sexual intercourse" with her. This happened for a second time between   
   March 4-8.   
      
   On the second occasion, another child heard noises coming from inside the room   
   and knocked on the door. Moore opened it and he was with the 14-year-old girl,   
   while his zipper was undone.   
      
   The child confronted Moore about having sex with the girl, but he denied it,   
   saying they'd only made out.

   When the girl was interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center for a second time,   
   she said she'd been scared to tell the truth during the first interview as she   
   was "afraid that people would belittle her."   
      
   She confirmed the sexual assaults, with Moore now facing a sentence of up to   
   30 years in prison for each of the two counts.   
      
   The St. Cloud Area School District said in a statement that after the   
   complaint was made, Moore was immediately removed from North Junior High and   
   no longer works for Dreamline.   
      
   "No other students were involved in the situation," it added. "Staff is   
   focused on supporting this student and ensuring the safety and well-being of   
   all students."
