XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, mn.politics, alt.politics.obama       XPost: talk.politics.guns, sac.politics       From: democrat-pussy@minnesota.guv              A 75-year-old man who was assaulted after a verbal dispute on a Metro Transit       bus has died six days after the attack.              Minneapolis Police announced that the victim, who remains unidentified, died       at 1:36 p.m. Tuesday, thus turning the aggravated assault case into a       homicide, the city's 39th of 2019.              The assault happened just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, on the 2900 block       of Chicago Ave. in Minneapolis.              Officers from MPD And Metro Transit responded to the report of a serious       assault, arriving at the scene where they found a 75-year-old man whose       injuries were "grave." The victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center       where his current condition is        unknown.              Investigators learned that a verbal exchange on a Metro Transit bus escalated       once the victim got off the bus. Police say the man was followed off the bus       by three others, leading to an altercation between the victim and a       23-year-old suspect.              The suspect is accused of striking the 75-year-old, causing him to fall to the       ground and hit his head.              The 23-year-old suspect, Leroy Davante Davis-Miles, was arrested last Thursday       by the Minneapolis Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, with the assistance of       SWAT. He was booked into the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center and       charged with aggravated        assault, but those charges are now expected to be amended.              Police said in a release last week that they anticipated additional arrests       and that the case remains under active investigation.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
