XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, mn.politics, alt.politics.clinton       XPost: talk.politics.guns, sac.politics       From: democrat-pussy@minnesota.guv              Charges have been filed in the case of a 75-year-old man who was savagely       beaten following a confrontation on a Metro Transit bus this week.              On Friday, Leroy Davis-Miles, 23, was charged with first-degree assault in the       attack, which happened Wednesday afternoon near the Chicago-Lake Transit       Center in Minneapolis.              Before the assault, the victim had asked Davis-Miles and his friends "to not       be so loud" on the bus, after which they threatened to "beat him when he got       off the bus," according to a news release from the Hennepin County attorney.              Prosecutors say the group got off at the same stop as the victim and caught up       with him a short distance away, where Davis-Miles "walked up to him and       punched him once."              The older man fall backward and hit his head on the pavement.              Now, the victim is clinging to life with a serious brain injury, and according       to the release, "may not survive."              Following the attack, prosecutors say, "Davis-Miles and one of his companions       shook hands in a congratulatory manner and then several of them rummaged       through the unconscious man’s pockets."              The suspect was tracked down with the help of surveillance footage and facial       recognition software and arrested at his Minneapolis home on Thursday.              His first court appearance is on Tuesday.              As the Star Tribune notes, should the victim die, Davis-Miles would face more       serious charges.              https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-news/charges-filed-in-vicio       s-attack-on-elderly-metro-transit-bus-rider              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
