XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, mn.politics, misc.immigration.usa       XPost: talk.politics.guns, sac.politics       From: democrat-pussy@minnesota.guv              The father of the boy who died after falling out of an apartment window in       Brooklyn Center earlier this year has been charged with manslaughter.              It happened May 18 at the Lux Apartments on the 6100 block of Summit Dr.       Responding officers found the three-year-old upon arrival, and despite       lifesaving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene.              The boy's father, 30-year-old Texas resident Saleban Abdullahi Duale, later       told officers that he and his children had been staying at his brother's       apartment — located on the building's eighth floor — at the time of the       accident, according to 2nd-       degree manslaughter charges filed against him on Friday.              "The Defendant claimed that he was watching his kids, including Victim, and       that after he walked out of the living room, Victim fell," the charges say:              "Officers went to the apartment in question and observed that a couch was       backed up immediately to the window from which Victim fell. The Defendant told       officers that Victim had been sitting on the back of the couch, right in front       of the open window,        immediately before falling."              - Charges against Saleban Abdullahi Duale              However, interviews with Duale's other children cast doubt on what happened.              According to the charges, the victim's oldest sibling, nine years old, told       Child Protection agents that Duale "was lying on a bed in the bedroom and was       not in the living room" at the time of the accident — while the toddler was       "pushing on the window        screen before he fell."              Another sibling, this one eight years old, reported that "Defendant was on the       phone all day and that he never saw the Defendant in the living room or       kitchen that morning."              Duale is not currently in custody, court documents say. If convicted, he faces       up to 10 years in prison as well as fines of up to $20,000.              Note: The details provided in this story are based on law enforcement’s       latest version of events, and may be subject to change.              https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-news/charges-filed-against-       ather-of-toddler-who-fell-out-8th-story-window              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
