XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, mn.politics, alt.drugs.meth       XPost: talk.politics.guns, sac.politics       From: tim-walz-wears-dresses@minnesota.guv              A Minneapolis mother is facing criminal charges after allegedly letting her       one-month-old infant overdose on methamphetamine.              Jasamine Eggleston was arrested on July 11 but released five days later. Now       she faces criminal charges filed on Wednesday: one felony count of neglect of       a child resulting in physical harm and a gross misdemeanor.              According to the criminal complaint, officers were called to a hospital in       Minneapolis on May 24, where they learned that Eggleston brought in her infant       child who was having trouble breathing.              She denied that the baby could have ingested any drugs; however, when the baby       was tested, results showed meth in their system.              The baby was then intubated and treated in the hospital’s NICU.              Both Eggleston and the baby were tested for controlled substances at the time       of the child's birth, and both tested negative at the time.              Eggleston visited a hospital on May 18 before the overdose, and she stated she       was concerned about her drug use. Hospital staff noted she was “very high on       meth.”              On August 12, during a post-Miranda interview, Eggleston confirmed that there       were drugs in the home.              https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-news/minneapolis-mother-cha       ged-after-infant-overdoses-on-meth              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
