Their task was to send       untested rape kits in TPD's possession to the Attorney General's Office to be       tested.              “They began that very lengthy process of sending those down. Results have       been coming back and if we can identify a potential offender or suspect in       that case then those cases are assigned and the detective re-investigates that       case,” said Jeff Lingo,        chief criminal detective at the Lucas County Prosecutor's Office.              This time that work paid off when 33-year-old Darnell Reynolds, described as a       serial rapist, was indicted on three counts of rape.              Toledo police say he raped three women in Toledo in 2010 and 2011 and got away       with the crimes until now. Reynolds is the first suspect facing charges since       the task force formed.              “Good work by the task force for investigating it, good work by the Attorney       General's Office in being able to identify who that suspect was and we       presented it to the grand jury and they indicted him,” said Lingo.              Reynolds has now turned himself in and is being held at the Lucas County Jail.              https://www.wtol.com/article/news/man-indicted-in-serial-rapes-t       anks-to-cold-case-sexual-assault-task-force/512-dc6993ba-41df-4e       3-9d58-68129b6739b6              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
