   (KNSI) — A 58-year-old Waite Park man is jailed after prosecutors say he   
   raped a woman and threatened to kill her.   
      
   According to the criminal complaint, police were called to an apartment on the   
   500 block of 5th Avenue South in St. Cloud Sunday afternoon for a sexual   
   assault in progress. The woman told police she and Curtis Lee Brame had been   
   driving around earlier in    
   the day, and he had been talking with several people about guns and Perc 30s.   
   He told her she better not tell anyone about any of it because he “ran these   
   streets” and could hurt her. He then asked to go back to her apartment. She   
   said her boyfriend    
   was sleeping there, and Brame woke him up and told him to leave. Initially, he   
   refused, but Brame pulled out a knife and threatened the woman, so he left.   
   She said Brame demanded she take off her pants because he wanted to have sex.   
   She said no, so he    
   threw her down on the bed and again demanded sex, to which she refused a   
   second time. He then took her pants off and forced her to have sex. She again   
   said no, and he told her to shut up because he was going to do what he wanted   
   and then   
     pinned her down. After he finished, she grabbed her clothes, ran downstairs,   
   and told her boyfriend and neighbor what happened before the police were   
   called.   
      
   Police took Brame to the hospital and, during transport, allegedly threatened   
   the officer and his family. He is also accused of being so uncooperative at   
   the hospital that an exam couldn’t be performed due to staff safety concerns.   
      
   Brame is charged with one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct and   
   two felony counts for threats of violence.
