One person is injured and another is dead after a stabbing in north
Minneapolis Sunday night, according to police.

Just after 5:30 p.m., Minneapolis police officers responded to the area of
30th and Oliver avenues north and found a woman with a stab wound. While
providing aid, police learned about a second victim who’d been stabbed.

That man was within a block from the woman at 30th and Penn avenues north and
suffering a life-threatening stab wound. Officers performed CPR and both the
man and woman were taken to the hospital in separate ambulances.

The man died at the hospital, marking the 10th homicide of 2022 in
   Minneapolis, according to police.

Police said that the man and woman are related and that the stabbing is under
   investigation as a domestic incident.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity and
cause of death of the man within the coming days.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477
or submit an anonymous tip online.
