   Police say one person is dead and a person of interest is in custody after a   
   shooting Monday morning in St. Cloud.   
      
   St. Cloud Police were called to the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue Northeast just   
   before 7 a.m.   
      
   In an update Monday afternoon, the department said the victim, a 28-year-old   
   woman, died at the scene. Her name is being withheld pending an autopsy by the   
   Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.   
      
   Officers took a person of interest, identified as 36-year-old Michael Jordan   
   Carpenter of St. Cloud, into custody. He’s being held pending criminal   
   charges.   
      
   The investigation remains active.   
      
   The department added that officers don’t believe there is any threat to the   
   public.
