(SCSO)              Hare, who’s been out on a $200,000 bond since 2021 is back in police custody       after an incident in Cordova Sunday morning.              At 6:11 a.m. on Sunday, SCSO deputies responded to an aggravated assault in       the 9000 block of Greenalder Cove North.              Through the open garage of the residence, they saw a man talking to a woman       regarding the incidents that occurred before the deputies’ arrival.              Multiple people on the scene told them that Markell Hare was the aggressor.              When officers attempted to detain him, Hare allegedly resisted and would not       allow deputies to put handcuffs on him. While attempting to restrain him,       deputies noticed he had two black handguns in his waistband.              After further investigation, deputies learned that one of the handguns had       been reported stolen out of Jackson, Tennessee.              16 indicted after Shelby County drug operation       A witness on the scene told deputies that Hare physically assaulted two of her       daughters and her granddaughter.              According to the police report, one of the victim’s deputies spoke with had       multiple bruises and lacerations consistent with fingernail markings on her       neck.              The victim said that at approximately 5:30 a.m. she called emergency services       because Hare was allegedly assaulting her sister (his girlfriend) and had       assaulted and strangled her seven-year-old niece (his daughter).              When she tried to stop him from harming the child, Hare allegedly assaulted       and strangled her.              With permission from the child’s mother, deputies spoke with her.              She said that her mother and Hare were arguing at 4 a.m. and things escalated       as time went on.              Cleotha Abston pleads guilty in Eliza Fletcher abduction, murder       By 5:35 a.m., the child called emergency services for help because Hare had       allegedly grabbed her by her neck, lifted her off the ground with his arms       around his neck and threw her onto the bed.              Deputies saw bruises around the child’s neck.              She said that he then got into an altercation with her aunt after she tried to       stop him.
