   MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) — Nathaniel Hart is facing three life   
   sentences for raping a Montgomery College student in January 2010.   
      
   “I’m particularly grateful that the young woman, who dealt with the   
   original horror of this, six years ago, was able to hear a jury for the first   
   time say guilty,” said State’s Attorney for Montgomery County John   
   McCarthy.   
      
   This week’s trial, comes after he appealed his previous sentence. He was   
   previously sentenced to 90 years in prison, after pleading guilty in 2010.   
      
   McCarthy, who has taught at Montgomery College for 37 years, remembers the   
   gruesome details about the rape on campus. He also knows the victim.   
      
   “The brother of the young lady who was a victim in this case, was best   
   friends with one of my own children,” said McCarthy.   
      
   According to court documents, Hart repeatedly raped the young woman in a   
   bathroom stall in broad daylight.   
      
   “This is a predatory rape,” said McCarthy.   
      
   Surveillance video from the perform arts building, shows him following the   
   young woman in a hallway.   
      
   “It’s 1:45 p.m. in the afternoon, she’s attending a class, she goes to a   
   ladies’ room on the second floor of one of these buildings. It locks from

   her,” said McCarthy.   
      
   Hart is charged with two counts of rape and first-degree sexual offense. He is   
   scheduled to be sentenced again in December.
