   IBERVILLE PARISH, La. (WAFB) - A former Iberville Parish deputy was found   
   guilty on child rape related charges on Thursday, Oct. 17, in connection to   
   the rape of a one-year-old in 2019.   
      
   Shaderick Jones, 47, was convicted of principal to first degree rape,   
   conspiracy to commit aggravated crime against nature, obstruction of justice,   
   malfeasance in office, and pornography involving juveniles under the age of   
   one.   
      
   According to officials, Jones coerced a woman, Iyehesa Todd, to perform oral   
   sex on a one year old in June of 2019 while armed and in uniform. Todd said   
   that Jones also recorded the incident, but the video was not recovered from   
   his cell phone. Officials    
   said they learned that Jones disposed of his cell that he was actively using   
   by throwing it into the river after a warning from Todd following her arrest.   
      
   Todd pled guilty in 2024 to attempted first degree rape, aggravated crime   
   against nature, and pornography involving juveniles. She is currently serving   
   a 14-year sentence for her involvement.   
      
   Officials said after Jones' arrest, several electronic devices of his were   
   located in his home with numerous electronic images of child pornography. He   
   was convicted in 2022 by a West Baton Rouge Parish jury of 24 counts of   
   pornography involving    
   juveniles and 55 counts of sexual abuse of animals. He was sentenced at that   
   time to over 100 years for possession of pornography.

   “I thank the jury, which had to sit through hearing and seeing the   
   disgusting testimony and evidence of this case to reach its verdict,” said   
   District Attorney Tony Clayton. ”These are gut-wrenching cases to   
   investigate and prosecute, but we have    
   made sure he spends the rest of his life in prison.”   
      
   Sentencing for Jones is scheduled for November 7.
