   Derrick Myers was convicted of 21 criminal counts including involuntary   
   deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16, and aggravated indecent

   LANCASTER, Pa. (TND) — A man who raped a child and then returned to cause   
   trouble at the victim's home, years later, has been sentenced to decades   
   behind bars.   
      
   The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office in Pennsylvania said Derrick   
   Myers "committed the sexual offenses around 2018, which the victim disclosed   
   in 2022."   
      
   The victim’s mother was apparently his ex.   
      
   “Myers returned to the victim's residence and barricaded the victim's mother   
   in her bedroom on one occasion,” prosecutors said, “and then went to a   
   minor witness’ school with the hope of convincing the witness to take the   
   blame.   
   “The witness reported to police that Myers told him to convince the victim's   
   mother to take him back, or he would have her killed, according to charging   
   documents.   
      
   “The witness also reported Myers stating, ‘I should have killed her when I   
   had the chance.’”   
   The D.A.’s office said during his trial on 21 criminal counts, in August,   
   “The Commonwealth presented oil/lubricant bottles used in sexual assaults   
   and a condom that contained both the defendant and victim's DNA.”   
      
   The trial lasted four days and the conviction came after only 35 minutes of   
   deliberation.   
      
   Myers, 34, was sentenced to 55-112 years in prison on these charges:   
      
   rape by forcible compulsion,   
   two counts of statutory sexual assault (11 years older),   
   involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16,   
   unlawful contact with a minor,   
   rape of a child,   
   two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child under 13,   
   aggravated indecent assault of child under 13,   
   two counts of sexual assault,   
   aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 16,   
   endangering the welfare of children,   
   corruption of minors,   
   indecent assault of a person less than 16,   
   simple assault,   
   false imprisonment,   
   criminal trespassing,   
   stalking,   
   intimidating a witness, and   
   terroristic threats.
