Almost six years       after the assault, a man involved in the act was found guilty and is facing       life in prison.              Officials said on Dec. 3, 2018, 34-year-old Mark A. Blue of Washington, D.C.,       and 25-year-old Nick Savoy of Southeast D.C. kidnapped a woman as she was       walking home from the Naylor Road Metro station in Hillcrest Heights.              Blue and Savoy targeted the victim, forced her into a car, threatened to kill       her, and sexually assaulted her, according to the United States Attorney's       Office for the District of Columbia.              After assaulting her in Maryland, officials said that Blue drove her to       Southeast, D.C., where he forced her to disclose her ATM information and       assaulted her while Blue's co-conspirator was withdrawing money. Officials       said Blue then drove to an alley        where both men sexually assaulted her again, before leaving the woman naked in       an alley with a covering her head.              At the time of the attack, Savoy turned himself into the police. Blue, on the       other hand, reportedly ran away to North Carolina after quitting his job. In       North Carolina, officials said a person recognized Blue's mugshot on a       television news show and        called law enforcement.              Before this incident, Blue was under supervised release for a 2013 armed       robbery conviction, officials said.              Blue was arrested in North Carolina on Jan. 29, 2019, and has remained in       custody since his arrest and conviction, officials said. He was found guilty       of kidnapping, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, kidnapping while armed,       robbery while armed, and two        counts of first-degree sexual abuse while armed, officials said.              Blue is scheduled to be sentenced on June 14, 2024.              https://wjla.com/news/local/man-guilty-mark-blue-kidnap-rape-wom       n-naylor-road-metro-station-arrest-convicted-hillcrest-heights-m       ryland-southeast-dc-police-investigation-nick-savoy-crime-district-attorney              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
