Might be a bit unrelated, but I got a MSi.SDR and the MSI001(?) chip would heat
up a lot when plugged into the computer. PC doesn't detect it either. Try to
disassemble the SDRPlay and check the temperatures of the chips with your
finger, might give you some clues as to what's wrong.
