Right now, my next project 'at home' is hooking up an HF rig! Yep! I have one now! A fellow ham 'handed down' a Kenwood TS-140S, MFJ-941E tuner and a homemade fan dipole! I powered up the radio last night just to confirm it works - but no transmit, as antenna not up yet. I don't really have room for the longest parts of it, but for now I'm going to make an inverted V on my tower and use at least the 10 meter part... Get my feet wet, so to speak, and if everything works okay I'll get another power supply to run it as well for more power and I'll invest in an antenna I can mount without taking up 100' of yard space. :-) ... Insurance guy to Adam & Eve: I see you're not covered... --- MultiMail/Mac v0.52 * Origin: Digital Distortion: digitaldistortionbbs.com (1:105/7) SEEN-BY: 105/7 10 11 44 45 81 500 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 SEEN-BY: 154/110 218/700 226/30 227/114 229/110 112 200 206 307 317 SEEN-BY: 229/400 426 428 470 616 664 700 705 266/512 291/111 320/219 SEEN-BY: 322/757 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 902/26 5075/35 PATH: 105/7 81 229/426 |
