7. This Week's Stories and Requests for Help We try to post stories and
comments from our readers each week. Send your story to newsletter@tias.com.

Here's a "haunted" story from Sheila A:

I was arranging to pick up an item I had purchased on ebay from a local
seller. When I spoke to her by phone, she indicated she was sorry for the
delay in responding to me, but she had just lost her mother. Having lost mine
also, I understood the anguish that comes after the death of one so dear.
When she composed herself a bit, I asked her to share her favorite "Mom
Story". We each related a story about a special moment we had shared with our
mothers, and the conversation ended with both of us in good spirits, looking
forward to exchange of the purchased item over coffee the following Saturday.

After hanging up the phone, I walked through my living room. A Herman Miller
mantle clock I had given my mother years ago sits on a shelf there - it
requires batteries which I had neglected to replace, so it hadn't been working
for some time. As I looked up at the clock, it started to chime ! I guess
Mom was voicing her approval of our conversation! ! !

If you have a "haunted" collection, drop us a note at newsletter@tias.com.

8. Facebook Updates

Remember that you can check out our Facebook page for some interesting
updates. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/TIASAntiques
If you have photos of items you would like to share you can post them there as
well. You don't need a Facebook account to visit our page. If you do have a
Facebook account please "Like" us!

Also, everyday we post a "This Date In History" story on our Facebook page,
along with an item for sale on http://www.tias.com that relates to the event.
We're also highlighting one item each day that we find particularly
interesting - something that's very unusual! Check it out!

It's always fun to see what other people own and treasure! Although we can't
put the pictures in this newsletter, please visit our Facebook page to view
the images and learn about those items.
