This Week's Stories and Requests for Help We try to post stories and comments from our readers each week. Send your story to newsletter@tias.com. Laurie M sent in this "spooky" story: "I collect old books, and read every one. One day I was in a used book store, and I found an interesting old book from the 1920s. When I went to pay for my book, I was immediately "creeped out" (if you know what I mean) by the shop owner, who I hadn't noticed when I arrived. Within the next fews days, I swear I had a string of bad luck - small things, but after a while I started to wonder what the heck was going on. I read on the local news a week or so later, that the bookstore where I purchased this book had burned to the ground - not just a fire, but it was a total loss. I know it sounds crazy, but I got rid of that book that same day, and my luck changed for the better." If you have a "haunted" collection, drop us a note at newsletter@tias.com. -------------------------- --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Dada-2 * Origin: Prism bbs (1:261/38) |
